I say I don't believe in God.
The universe is also too amazing to have just have come from nothing
scratch that, the universe is too amazing to have come from the idea of 'nothing' that commonly exists
it fits together just fine in my head, but I don't know how to explain that to other people. It's not that I need to explain, because it doesn't really matter whether other people get it or not, its just that when I think about it, I wonder if the fact that I can't reconcile all my beliefs doesn't make sense- which would in turn be about the same as believing in a religion that doesn't make sense.
Then again- maybe not?
You know what fascinates me though? The concept of angels. I'm also enamored with the concept of the loss of ones humanity, and if that were to warp someone in such a way that they were something else entirely.
It's funny to me that we live in a society that is obsessed with this idea of perfect, and then every time we portray it in literature and media its always cold and distant... and yet we still clamor for it. And then all the thing we say are bad, the thing we don't want, we always represent those with things like fire- yeah, fire can burn you, but it will also keep you warm, make you feel alive.
I love film because you get to play with all those ideas, and concepts and develop them critically into a story to be viewed and taken in. I long for the days when I'll get to do that as more than just a fantasized interest.
The one thing I'm really looking forward to about Media next year is that we're doing documentaries, which means I'll get to take something and just pick it apart and show all of the dissected pieces, and then put them back together into something for people to draw their own conclusions from.
Things like that make me love life.
